At the early crossroads of science and mysticism, the alchemist stood. A cryptic figure seeking the transmutation of worldly materials into divine matter, the alchemist investigated the natural world and sought the transmogrification of both earthly substances and spiritual self. Alchemy: part science, part philosophy, part dark art, and arguably the early foundation of scientific discovery. This April, join us at True Love Art Gallery Tattoo for 'Principia Alchemica,' an exhibition of artwork that pays homage to the wonders of the natural world, the early scientist and his cabinet of curiosity - but also takes us further back, to the cauldron of the alchemist and his quest for transformation.
